Some weeks are just super busy, and you need an easy meal that sure to please and feed the masses. On weeks like this, I love to turn to this super easy recipe my mom shared with me, Crockpot BBQ. I hope your family enjoys it!
2-3 lbs pork butt
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 minced onion
1 can of root beer
Salt and pepper
Your choice of bbq sauce
Create a rub with the minced garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub the pork butt and place it in the crockpot.
Add the minced onion and can of root beer. Allow to cook on low for 4-6 hours.
Drain excess juices from the crockpot. Using two forks shred the meat. Add your bbq sauce and allow to simmer on low until the sauce is warm.
I like to serve the BBQ as sliders using sweet Hawaiian rolls.
